Job summary

SOCOTEC is seeking a Principal, Building Envelope to lead the Building Envelope practice. This executive role combines advanced technical leadership with strategic business development, overseeing complex projects and mentoring staff across multidisciplinary teams.

You will strengthen client relationships, drive innovation, and ensure excellence in design, investigation, and rehabilitation of building enclosures.

Qualifications

15+ years in building envelope consulting, design, or related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) license required.
Strong knowledge of building codes, ASTM, AAMA, NFRC and industry standards.
Proven track record leading complex consulting projects and client relationships.

Responsibilities

Strategic leadership for Building Envelope practice and growth.
Develop executive-level client relationships and drive business development.
Oversee design reviews, investigations, rehabilitation, and commissioning.
Mentor staff and ensure technical excellence across project delivery.
Manage financial performance, forecasting, and resource planning.
Represent SOCOTEC in industry organizations and thought leadership.
Ensure quality assurance and compliance with codes and standards.
