Job summary

Leidos LLC is seeking a Principal Biometrics Software Engineer to lead biometric integration across systems, bridging biometric data with enterprise applications. Role focuses on secure data handling and scalable API-rich architectures.

Requirements include extensive biometrics expertise, Java/Spring proficiency, and a TS/SCI with Poly clearance. The team works on security engineering, CNO, SIGINT, and cryptographic key management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's with extensive biometrics/security experience.
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and biometrics SDKs.
• Strong knowledge of biometric modalities and data security.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Biometric Integration: design modules to integrate biometric modalities with applications using SDKs and APIs.
• API Development: develop and maintain APIs for third-party applications to interact with the biometric system.
• System Architecture: contribute to scalable, secure biometric integration architecture.
• Data Handling: build data pipelines for capture, storage, and transmission with privacy in mind.
• Software Development: contribute to development initiatives using Java and JavaScript.
• Technical Documentation: create detailed docs for integration processes and configurations.
• Troubleshooting: resolve biometric integration issues, including data quality and compatibility.
