Job summary

Zillow is seeking a Specialist II, Software Engineering, Full Stack to design, build, and maintain end-to-end web apps across frontend and backend. You will collaborate with product, design, data and peers to deliver scalable, reliable features with high quality and testability.

You will mentor teammates, participate in design discussions, and focus on operational excellence, production readiness, and continuous improvement in system design and team practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience with frontend and backend technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript and server-side language).
• Familiarity with Gen AI capabilities (NLP & computer vision) and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full stack features and services.
• Collaborate with product, design, data, and peer engineering teams to refine requirements.
• Write clean, testable code; create automated tests; participate in code reviews.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize applications in production with logs and metrics.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and implementation plans for moderately complex features.
• Mentor and support peers to elevate team capabilities and inclusive culture.
