Oracle Health is seeking a Principal Backend Developer to advance our Gen2 EHR platform. You will design scalable backend services for clinical inbox, messaging, and provider workflows, and lead engineering efforts across cross-functional teams.

In this role you will own services from design through production, mentor engineers, and contribute to platform strategy while ensuring reliability, performance, and security in a regulated health IT environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 7–9+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience developing enterprise-scale backend systems using Java, Python, or other OO languages.
• Distributed systems, microservices, APIs, scalability, resiliency, performance optimization.

Responsabilités

• Design, build, and maintain cloud-native EHR applications supporting clinical inbox, messaging, and provider workflows.
• Develop scalable backend services and distributed systems powering healthcare workflows.
• Lead architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and drive platform strategy.
• Own services end-to-end from requirements to deployment and production support.
• Collaborate with TPMs, Product Managers, and stakeholders to deliver requirements.
