Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong experience developing enterprise-scale backend systems using Java, Python, or other OO languages.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, APIs, scalability, resiliency, performance.
• Experience building cloud-native applications in modern engineering environments.
• Proven experience as a technical lead guiding projects.
• Experience supporting teams of ~5–6 engineers.
• Strong knowledge of software design principles and data structures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native EHR apps for inbox, messaging, and provider workflows.
• Build scalable backend services and distributed systems for healthcare workflows.
• Develop full-stack solutions with a focus on backend architecture, reliability, and performance.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions with cross-functional teams.
• Lead design discussions and contribute to long-term platform strategy.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and design reviews.
• Lead small initiatives and coordinate delivery across teams.
• Foster engineering excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Own services from requirements through deployment and production support.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Improve observability, reliability, and system performance.
• Collaborate with TPMs and Product Managers to ensure clear requirements.
