Roblox in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Principal Network Engineer to lead the design and architecture of Roblox’s global backbone and edge networks. You will plan, scale, and secure network infrastructure to support rapid user growth and billions of daily interactions.

You will drive deployment of large-scale network solutions, evaluate new technologies, and collaborate with tooling teams to enhance automation, telemetry, and observability.

Qualifications

8+ years designing, deploying, and operating large-scale networks.
5+ years in backbone and edge network architectures.
Proficiency in BGP, IS-IS, MPLS, RSVP-TE.
Experience with TCP/UDP, DHCP, DNS, IPv4/IPv6.
Hands-on networking hardware in multi-vendor environments.
Familiarity with Python, Go or C/C++ is a plus.
Strong collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
