Job summary

Harris Computer, remote in the United States, seeks a Principal AI Cloud Architect to lead the AI-first transformation of its Azure cloud stack and to build a small, capable team. You will shape AI strategy, design agent-based automation, and collaborate with clients to deliver enterprise-grade cloud solutions.

The role requires deep Azure expertise, hands-on Databricks experience, and proficiency with Terraform/Bicep, with focus on secure, scalable, and cost-efficient architectures.

Qualifications

• 15+ years IT experience with 10+ years in cloud architecture (Azure preferred).
• 3+ years hands-on AI/ML experience, incl. production deployment of LLM-based or agentic AI solutions.
• Proven leadership of engineering teams and client-facing delivery.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive AI strategy and roadmap for the Cloud unit; shift ops to agent-driven automation.
• Build and mentor a 2–6 engineer team for designing, deploying AI agents in production.
• Architect multi-agent systems for AIOps, including anomaly detection and self-healing runbooks.
• Design IaC agents (Terraform, Bicep) with CI/CD policy checks before production.
• Develop FinOps agents to identify cost anomalies and rightsizing opportunities.
• Establish AI governance, access controls, logging, and responsible AI practices.
