Job summary

MANTECH is seeking a Principal AWS Cloud Engineer to lead the enterprise AWS environment from Chantilly, VA. You will design, deploy, and secure cloud infrastructure, drive automation, and ensure cross-cloud alignment with Azure and OCI.

A strong security-first mindset and hands-on IaC experience are essential. As a senior technologist, you will mentor peers, integrate threat detection pipelines, and maintain audit-ready configurations across complex, multi-account architectures.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of cloud engineering experience with AWS.
• Active DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Experience designing secure, multi-account AWS environments.
• Proficient with Terraform or CloudFormation IaC.
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Serve as principal subject matter expert for AWS enterprise infrastructure.
• Architect and optimize automated cloud security monitoring pipelines.
• Lead IaC/CaC deployments using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Enforce IAM governance and Zero Trust across multi-account AWS Organizations.
• Provide Tier 3 escalation to diagnose complex issues.
• Develop automation scripts to streamline operations.
• Collaborate with teams to align security baselines with Azure and OCI.
