Job summary

Medtronic plc in Lafayette, CO seeks Principal Automation Software Test Engineer (SDET) to lead automated verification for complex medical device software. You will mentor engineers, orchestrate test activities, and develop tools to achieve full system test coverage.

You will design and validate testing components, participate in requirements and design reviews, and ensure compliance with FDA QSR and IEC 62304 while delivering well-documented products.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 7+ years in SW QA, test automation and/or test lead roles.
• 5+ years in medical device or regulated industries.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to other software and test engineers.
• Orchestrates test team activities, delegating work and reviewing outputs.
• Design, develop, test, maintain and validate software testing components and apps.
• Participate in all product development phases: requirements, design, usability, risk assessment, test design and execution.
• Interface with mechanical, electrical, systems, software and test engineers.
