Job summary

Jeppesen ForeFlight, Inc. is seeking a Principal Engineer to set the technical direction for the Engineering Core Services across multiple products.

This individual contributor role will own architecture, guide senior engineers, and influence the broader engineering organization through RFCs and reviews. The role is preferred as Hybrid in Austin, TX; Houston, TX; or Denver, CO, with remote consideration for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of engineering experience with at least 7 as primary architect for shared services spanning multiple product lines.
• Track record of a coupled customer-foundation paradigm with identity, commerce, entitlement, and operations sharing models.
• Deep production experience architecting and operating a CIAM platform at scale with expert OAuth/OIDC/SAML and federation.
• Breadth in at least one other shared platform domain: commerce/billing, CRM, or data integration.
• Strong systems‑integration judgment across APIs, events, data models and catalog contracts.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture, 2–3 year roadmap, and decision authority across the Core Services portfolio.
• Own CIAM platform architecture and consolidation onto a modern identity foundation.
• Lead long-term subscription and billing platform strategy and migrations.
• Drive standardization of contracts, entitlements, and catalogs across product lines.
• Define integration patterns and platform standards for product engineering teams.
