Job summary

Dorman Products seeks a Principal Architect, Applications & Integration to provide risk-based oversight, define target architectures, guardrails, and guide first implementations.

You will lead through technical authority, mentor teams, collaborate with Security, Risk, Legal and Compliance, and maintain reference architectures, reusable patterns, and roadmaps for APIs, events, messaging, and AI-enabled solutions.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in application/solution architecture or large-scale distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with cloud applications, APIs, messaging, and event-driven patterns.
• Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD, observability, and production readiness.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture for web, mobile, cloud-native, API-driven and integration solutions.
• Define frameworks, reference architectures, and reusable components.
• Guide modernization, tech debt, and build-versus-buy decisions.
• Establish API, events, messaging, and data-service patterns.
• Define reusable integration services for partners and packaged apps.
• Ensure secure, loosely coupled, observable, and resilient integrations.
• Define patterns for LLM access, retrieval-augmented generation, and agents.
• Maintain architecture roadmaps and decision records.
