Rocket Companies, Inc. is seeking a Distinguished Engineer within Servicing Tech to set the multi-year technical direction for the systems that serve 1 in 6 U.S. mortgage clients.

You’ll shape AI-enabled workflows, platform integrations, and the next-generation servicing system across Rocket's ecosystems. You will own architectural strategy across domains, translate research into production capability, mentor senior engineers, and partner with executives on technology bets that drive large-scale

Qualifications

• Significant tenure as a senior individual contributor with impact across multiple domains.
• Hands-on experience leading platform-building efforts at enterprise scale.
• Sustained external presence in the engineering community per the recognition criteria above.
• Evidence of owning at least one multi-year technical bet end-to-end, with accountability for the outcome.
• Bachelor’s or higher in Computer Science or related field (secondary to demonstrated impact).

Responsibilities

• Define the multi-year technical strategy for the next-generation servicing system and AI-based workflows.
• Own the architectural direction the vertical will build on for years.
• Lead cross-cutting platform investments including AI-enabled core systems.
• Own multi-year technical bets with long timelines and uncertain payoff, accountable for outcomes.
• Serve as a standing technical advisor to executive leadership on strategy and build-vs-buy decisions.
• Drive alignment across engineering organizations on shared architectural direction.
• Mentor Principal Engineers to develop future Distinguished Engineers.
