Job summary

Archer, in partnership with LexisNexis, seeks a senior security leader to shape application security and AI/LLM safety across the org. You’ll influence leadership decisions, drive threat modeling for distributed systems, and embed secure development practices into the tooling and pipelines teams rely on.

You will own complex escalations, mentor engineers, and define standards for responsible AI-enabled applications while collaborating with cross-functional partners to reduce risk without slowing

Qualifications

• 7+ years in application security or security-focused software engineering.
• Experience with threat modeling (STRIDE, PASTA) on distributed systems.
• Strong web app and API security knowledge with practical fixes.
• Hands-on experience embedding SAST, DAST, SCA and secrets scanning into developer workflows.
• Coding ability (Python, Java, Go, TypeScript) to review security issues.
• Experience in regulated industries with strict compliance requirements.
• Ability to write clear, compelling security findings for leadership.
• Strong collaboration ethos enabling business goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and tactical technical guidance shaping security across the organization.
• Research emerging threats and mitigation techniques, translating research into actionable guidance.
• Own escalations requiring deep expertise for high-stakes incidents.
• Design and evolve secure SDLC and AppSec program with threat modeling and tooling.
• Integrate SAST, DAST, SCA, and secrets detection into CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead AI/LLM security reviews and threat modeling for AI-powered features.
• Define internal standards for AI-integrated applications and responsible tool use.
• Mentor security engineers and contribute to multi-year technical strategy.
