The Systems Integration & Test: Environments Center includes all the engineering disciplines responsible for systems design & test on all Raytheon products. Our engineers are responsible for all elements of the development lifecycle for test including test requirements, test system design, flight simulations, hardware-in-the-loop, computer-in-the-loop, advanced engineering prototyping technology, flight operations for manned and unmanned vehicles, environmental testing, environmental characterization, and engineering laboratory management. We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrate state of the art test solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world.

Raytheon is seeking a Principal Analyst Support Engineer to manage and implement engineering lab strategic projects and day-to-day administrative functions within multiple engineering labs, with specific focus on safety, security, and compliance using established doctrine and governance. You will be creative and innovative, possessing strong organizational, coordination, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills. In the position, you must be able to collaborate with customers, employees, and senior leaders when implementing process and procedural changes.

This position is an onsite role in Fullerton, CA.

What You Will Do

  • Lab Operating Procedure (LOP) Management; provide direction for lab users on established policies

  • Management, coordination and implementation of Environment Health Safety and Sustainment
    Property & Metrology Management

  • Perform cost analysis, ensure task completion within approved budgets

  • Provide process support to Supply Chain Management (SCM)

  • Oversee audit/assessment preparation. Overseeing Engineering Lab Objective Evaluation and Voluntary Protection Program; develop corrective action plans and assist in the development of long-range objectives, including engineering customer goals

  • Safeguarding of classified/proprietary material, hardware, and documentation, utilizing defense material/property under Export Administration Regulations

  • Develop and implement communication plans, providing consulting support to functional and engineering customer management

  • Work to influence stakeholders within and outside responsible area at an operational level regarding policies, practices, and procedures

  • Work autonomously with limited oversight; provide professional input, guidance, and problem solving

  • This position requires some physical exertion while standing, sitting, or walking, working outside

  • Local travel in the general area may be required, with occasional travel outside the local area

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years’ prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience.

  • Mechanical and/or Electrical/Electronic experience.

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with OSHA/NFPA industrial policies and regulations

  • Experience with working directly with engineers, technicians and leadership in an engineering lab environment in the areas of safety, security, compliance and property management

  • Experience with EHS, NISPOM, JAFAN and Foreign Object Elimination

  • Ability to build positive, lasting relationships with customers

  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Strong understanding and experience with Metrology and calibrations practices and preparing assets for such.

The salary range for this role is 90,000 USD - 182,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
