Job Summary

The Principal Analyst, HRIS serves as a subject matter expert for HR systems, providing high-level project leadership on system initiatives. They offer consultative HRIS guidance across all company levels and HR functions.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Support for Recruiting and Talent Management:
  2. Maintain confidentiality of HR data.
  3. Gather HRIS data using BI reporting tools or SQL queries.
  4. Develop auditing activities to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  5. Optimize system rules, workflows, and capabilities, leveraging cloud system best practices and vendor resources.
  6. Document project and initiative details.
  7. Ensure continuous quality improvement by analyzing data flow and downstream impacts.
  8. Perform mass data uploads using data loader tools.
  9. Collaborate across HR, IT, Payroll, and Finance to improve data process efficiencies.
  10. Investigate problems and develop long-term solutions, partnering with HRIT support, vendors, and development teams.
  11. Serve as escalation point for complex HRIS issues.
  12. Gather business requirements for system defects and enhancements, documenting issues clearly.
  13. Advise on HR initiatives such as talent acquisition, performance management, and benefits enrollment, recommending best practices.
  14. Provide guidance on new features and system upgrades, promoting feature adoption.
  15. Communicate effectively with all management levels.
  16. Manage ad hoc HRIS projects and initiatives.
  17. Assist in developing HRIS skills among team members.
  18. Collaborate to improve HR procedures and processes within the HR system.

Job Qualifications

Required Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • Minimum 10+ years of HRIS experience.
  • Experience with Oracle HCM Cloud, specifically Oracle Recruiting Cloud.
  • Extensive knowledge of HRIS platforms related to employee records, benefits, payroll, compensation, organizational development, and recruitment.
  • Experience leading complex, multi-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to lead programs and projects in complex environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Highly organized, motivated, and collaborative.
  • Strong analytical and system analysis skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Knowledge of SQL and database tools.
  • Experience with testing and project management tools like JIRA and HP ALM.
