Job summary

Dell Technologies is hiring a Principal Software Engineer for AI Development & Agent Ops in Hopkinton, MA (and Austin, TX). You’ll design, build, and refine services and platforms enabling thousands of engineers to develop with AI agents at scale.

You will partner with product, architecture, security, and engineering teams to transform the SDLC and drive enterprise-wide AI adoption while balancing technical judgment and governance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a software engineering role.
• Deep hands-on familiarity with modern software development practices - CI/CD, DevOps, developer tooling.
• Ability to take ambiguous problems, structure them, and deliver concrete outputs.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and operate the agentic harness including CI/CD integrations and MCP integrations for end-to-end agent workflows.
• Develop and manage the agent lifecycle framework, including versioning, testing, validation, deployment, and release management within the enterprise registry.
• Build and maintain shared services, reusable frameworks, developer tooling, and cross-platform integrations to accelerate adoption and ensure consistency.
• Define, implement, and maintain technical standards for knowledge base content and metadata for agentic systems.
• Drive engineering best practices across the agentic ecosystem including automation, testing, observability, reliability, and continuous improvement of platform performance.
