Job summary

Dell Technologies is seeking a Principal Software Engineer for the AI Development & Agent Ops team in Hopkinton MA or Austin TX. You will design and scale services and platforms to empower ~9,000 engineers to develop with AI agents, partnering with product, architecture, security, and engineering to transform the agentic SDLC.

You will lead the implementation of CI/CD integrations, lifecycle management, tooling, and cross-platform integrations while upholding high standards for knowledge bases

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience in complex systems.
• Strong hands-on familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and developer tooling.
• Ability to structure ambiguous problems and deliver concrete outputs.
• Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, product, security, and infrastructure stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and refine services and platforms enabling AI agent development at scale.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, security, and engineering teams on SDLC transformation.
• Develop shared services, frameworks, and tooling to accelerate adoption and consistency.
• Define and maintain standards for knowledge bases and metadata for agentic systems.
• Drive engineering best practices across automation, testing, observability, and platform performance.
