Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal AI Software Engineer to develop, integrate, and deploy AI-enabled software for the SEIT department in San Diego. You’ll work with physicists, design engineers, and superconducting foundry engineers to turn ideas into practical systems on-site at Spectrum Center.

The role requires a DoD Secret clearance, a STEM degree with relevant experience, and strong leadership across multiple engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related STEM discipline.
• Master’s degree or PhD may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and sustain AI-enabled software products and supporting systems across cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Translate mission and customer needs into secure, scalable technical solutions.
• Mentor engineers and guide teams across disciplines to deliver value.
