Job summary

Google Inc. is seeking a Principal Engineer, Service Networking AI, to design and drive the architectural evolution of Google’s service networking stack for AI workloads.

You will partner with product leaders and customers to understand requirements and deliver a best-in-class, low-latency ecosystem across load balancers, Kubernetes, DNS, and Google's CDN. The role reports to Google Cloud's Service Networking leadership, with responsibility to mentor engineers and align multi-year architectural

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 15 years of software engineering experience, building and working with large-scale distributed systems.
• 5 years of experience delivering networking solutions at hyperscale.
• 2 years of experience serving ML, AI, or agentic workloads.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, drive, and landing of the architectural evolution of Google’s service networking stack for AI and agentic workloads.
• Partner with product leaders to understand AI/agentic requirements and redefine best-in-class networking.
• Ensure timely delivery with high quality across networking components, Kubernetes, DNS, and edge networking.
• Mentor and sponsor the next generation of technical leaders in Google Cloud’s service networking.
• Collaborate with customers to align technical strategy with business needs.
