Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Principal Software Engineer, Intelligent Quality Solutions, to lead AI-powered enterprise quality initiatives. You will build production-ready systems, reusable frameworks, and autonomous agents that enhance software testing and engineering productivity.

You will work across engineering, product, security, and data teams to deploy scalable AI capabilities, drive governance, and advance the enterprise AI strategy. This is a remote role with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
• 12+ years designing and building enterprise software.
• Hands-on experience with AI-powered software in production.
• Experience with large language models, generative AI, agentic AI, ML.
• Cloud-native architectures, APIs, distributed systems, secure development.
• Experience building scalable enterprise platforms or reusable capabilities.
• Experience integrating AI into enterprise products/workflows.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives end-to-end.
• Strong knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, observability, governance.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI-powered software solutions for Enterprise Quality Engineering.
• Create intelligent applications, AI services, APIs, and reusable frameworks.
• Develop AI agents to improve testing, quality, and productivity.
• Build scalable, secure, production-ready enterprise software.
• Integrate AI capabilities into development and quality processes.
• Prototype and evaluate latest AI technologies.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship across projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise solutions.
• Establish best practices for AI governance, security, and observability.
• Shape long-term AI and quality engineering strategy.
