Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Product Manager to help shape the next generation of AI-powered learning experiences. This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, learning design, data, AI technology, and user experience.

You will lead discovery, definition, delivery, launch, and optimization for AI-enabled features that help students learn more effectively, including AI tutoring, personalized practice, study recommendations, and safe, responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of product management experience for digital, software or SaaS products.
• Hands-on experience shipping products from discovery through launch and post-launch optimization.
• Experience using generative AI tools in product work (research synthesis, prototyping, analysis, requirements, experimentation).
• Understanding of LLM-based products, prompts, retrieval-augmented generation, evaluation and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Strong product judgment balancing user value, business value, feasibility and safety.
• Analytical skills with data, experiments and user feedback to inform decisions.
• Clear communication translating technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, data, QA, content, legal and privacy.

Responsibilities

• Support the roadmap and success metrics for AI-powered learning experiences.
• Identify opportunities where AI improves outcomes, engagement and personalization through research and data analysis.
• Deliver end-to-end AI-enabled features from discovery to launch and optimization.
• Translate needs into clear requirements, user stories and prioritized work.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered experiences.
• Use AI tools to accelerate discovery, research synthesis, prototyping and documentation.
• Define evaluation criteria, prompts and workflow behaviors for AI features.
• Monitor performance using analytics and user feedback to drive improvement.
• Ensure AI features align with privacy, security, accessibility and responsible AI standards.
