Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Product Manager to shape AI-powered learning experiences. You will lead discovery, definition, delivery, launch, and optimization for AI-enabled features that help students learn more effectively.

You will collaborate with engineering, data science, content, learning science, and privacy teams to build trusted product experiences and ensure responsible AI across the Pearson learning ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of product management experience for digital, software, SaaS, education, or platform products.
• Experience shipping products from discovery through launch and post-launch optimization.
• Hands-on use of generative AI tools in product work (research synthesis, prototyping, analysis, requirements, experimentation).
• Understanding of LLM-based products, prompts, retrieval-augmented generation, evaluation, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Strong product judgment balancing user value, business value, feasibility, usability, safety, and constraints.
• Strong analytical skills using product data, experiments, and user research to drive decisions.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work with engineering, design, data, QA, content, and legal/privacy stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the roadmap and success metrics for AI-powered learning experiences.
• Identify AI opportunities to improve student outcomes, engagement, and personalization.
• Deliver end-to-end AI-enabled features from discovery to launch and optimization.
• Translate needs into product requirements, user stories, and prioritized work.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, data science, content, QA, and AI platform teams.
• Use AI tools to accelerate discovery, synthesis, prototyping, and stakeholder communication.
• Define and evaluate AI-powered experiences including prompts and workflow behavior.
• Monitor product performance via analytics and user feedback for continuous improvement.
• Ensure AI features meet privacy, security, accessibility, and responsible AI standards.
