Job summary

Stellarus is seeking a Principal Data Scientist to lead the development and deployment of innovative AI applications, including LLM-powered copilots and RAG-enabled search, embedded in customer-facing products and enterprise workflows.

You will shape the technical direction for AI across the organization, collaborate with researchers and product managers, and mentor team members while delivering production-grade AI capabilities with responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or quantitative discipline; advanced degrees preferred.
• 10+ years of data science, machine learning, or AI/ML experience.
• Proven track record of shipping software products rapidly, beyond model development.
• Strong software engineering skills; Python APIs/backends.
• Experience with ML deployment, evaluation, data processing, and ML frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and deployment of generative AI applications.
• Design scalable AI applications including LLMs, copilots, agents, and RAG/search.
• Prototype features rapidly and iterate based on results.
• Architect and ship products from 0 to 1 in collaboration with researchers and PMs.
• Build APIs, services, and data pipelines exposing AI capabilities.
