Job summary

Remitly is seeking a Principal AI Native Software Engineer to lead AI-driven product development. You’ll direct AI agents to build end-to-end applications, orchestrating AI to solve customer problems and ship robust solutions across the stack.

You’ll work in a hybrid setup with in-office collaboration expected, while leveraging your full-stack expertise to improve security, reliability, and user experience. Equity is part of total compensation.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with AI coding agents for end-to-end app development.
• Ability to write effective prompts and iterate outcomes.
• Understanding of frontend, backend, data, and infrastructure.
• Familiarity with web apps, APIs, databases, and queues.
• Ability to read and interpret usage metrics and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Build complete applications and basic agents using AI coding agents.
• Translate customer needs into buildable specifications from requirements through deployment.
• Instrument solutions to track usage and outcomes, iterating based on what you learn.
• Evaluate AI outputs against Remitly’s standards for security, privacy, reliability, and quality before shipping.
• Participate in customer conversations to identify automation opportunities.
• Document approaches, prompts, and patterns for the team.
