Job summary

Fidelity Investments Inc. seeks a Principal AI/ML Engineer to grow the FI business by delivering production-ready AI systems.

You will develop scalable AI solutions driving lead generation, intelligent product recommendations, and client engagement, while building robust data foundations and cloud-based infrastructure. In this role you will deploy AI capabilities across enterprise workflows, establish MLOps standards, and collaborate with business teams to turn complex challenges into measurable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• 6+ years of software or AI/ML engineering experience, including production AI deployments.
• Experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG architectures, and agentic AI frameworks.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and building clean, tested production code.
• Experience designing APIs and integrating AI into enterprise apps and data platforms.
• Experience deploying cloud-native AI solutions and implementing MLOps practices.
• Experience with AWS, Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, LangChain/LangGraph or similar technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy production AI/ML solutions using LLMs, RAG, and agentic AI frameworks.
• Build scalable data foundations, APIs, and cloud-based AI infrastructure.
• Create reliable, secure, observable systems with a production-first mindset.
• Partner with business and technology teams to translate challenges into solutions.
• Establish monitoring, governance, and MLOps practices to ensure performance and scalability.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and apply them to deliver measurable outcomes.
