Goodfin is seeking a Staff AI Engineer to design, build, and harden core intelligence systems powering its private markets platform. You will own end‑to‑end systems—from architecture through deployment—and mentor others while defining technical standards.

You will work on LLM‑powered, agentic workflows, hybrid reasoning pipelines, and robust evaluation. This production‑grade role requires rigor, explainability, and reliable operations for real investors.

Formación

• 6+ years of software engineering experience in applied AI/ML systems.
• Strong fundamentals in Python and backend system design.
• Proven experience with LLMs, prompting, RAG, or evaluation tooling.
• Experience owning ambiguous, high‑impact systems from concept to production.
• Comfort making architectural tradeoffs under real‑world constraints.
• Ability to think at the system level while shipping high‑quality code.
• High product intuition and responsibility for user outcomes.

Responsabilidades

• Architect LLM‑powered, agentic systems for private market research and decision support.
• Design hybrid reasoning pipelines combining LLMs with retrieval, data, rules, and tools.
• Build robust RAG pipelines over unstructured data (PPMs, decks, filings, memos).
• Develop evaluation frameworks for reasoning quality, latency, and cost.
• Implement observability, debugging and failure‑handling for multi‑step AI workflows.
• Partner with business and design to translate needs into reliable intelligent behavior.
• Raise the bar on AI engineering practices through mentorship.
