Flexera is building a new model for software engineering with a small, autonomous team that combines leadership, experienced developers, and AI coding agents to deliver high-quality software quickly.

We are looking for a hands-on Principal Engineer & AI Technical Lead to set technical direction, architecture, and delivery while working alongside two engineers and AI tools like Claude Code and OpenAI Codex.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering with leadership responsibility.
• Experience delivering production software end-to-end.
• Strong software design and architecture skills.
• Ability to decompose problems and drive to completion.
• Excellent technical communication and mentoring skills.

Responsabilités

• Own architecture and delivery strategy for team applications and systems.
• Lead AI-enabled development workflows using Claude Code and OpenAI Codex.
• Mentor two engineers through pairing, reviews, and challenging tasks.
• Establish guardrails and automated checks for AI-assisted development.
• Ensure production readiness, observability, and reliability.
