Job summary

Bank of America seeks a highly capable AI Engineering Principal to design, build, and support AI-enabled capabilities across the SDLC. You will lead portfolio product delivery strategies, establish governance, and drive practical AI solutions to improve code authoring, testing, automation, and developer productivity.

The role requires hands-on engineering with Copilot, LangGraph, and Semantic Kernel, delivering scalable workflows and secure coding practices within enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience across enterprise platforms, with hands-on delivery.
• Experience implementing shared engineering capabilities and reusable automation patterns across teams.
• Experience in highly regulated environments with SDLC, risk, audit, and controls requirements.
• Ability to translate standards into practical implementation patterns with architects and delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Define the engineering approach for portfolio solutions and deliver technical enablers.
• Lead design of complex features spanning multiple teams and explore solution options.
• Establish the technology tool stack within approved technologies.
• Provide technical oversight including reviews and code within own domain.
• Drive end-to-end test strategy and AI-enabled development workflows.
• Improve developer experience and productivity while ensuring governance and security.
