Teradata is looking for a Principal Engineer to lead innovation in autonomous AI agents within the Teradata Cloud platform. You will architect production-grade agent frameworks, oversee memory and orchestration, and ensure secure, observable deployments at enterprise scale.

You will collaborate with AI researchers, platform engineers, and product teams to push agentic capabilities forward, shaping the safe, scalable future of enterprise AI across large data environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong interest or experience in AI/ML and large language models (LLMs).
• 8+ years of experience in software architecture, backend systems, or AI infrastructure.
• Deep knowledge of autonomous agent frameworks and AI orchestration models.
• Experience with agent governance, memory, planning loops, and execution chains.
• Proficiency with cloud-native platforms, distributed systems, and security-first design.

Responsibilities

• Lead innovation in the Agentic AI space and design production-grade AI agents.
• Architect secure, scalable agent frameworks and management tools.
• Define and drive the technical roadmap for agent management and orchestration.
• Ensure agents are secure by design with observability and guardrails.
• Collaborate with researchers, platform engineers, and product managers to deploy agentic capabilities.
• Build infrastructure to support multi-agent collaboration and context management.
• Drive enterprise adoption of AI agents with easy integration and safe execution.
