Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Principal AI Computer Vision Engineer to advance VPM across its global manufacturing network, working closely with manufacturing, automation, quality, and process engineering to transform image data into actionable insights.

You will collect data, train models, deploy solutions via the AMI platform, and mentor site engineers to scale AI capabilities across sites.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 5+ years with an advanced degree.
• 3+ years applying AI, analytics, and computer vision in manufacturing, automation, or operations.
• 3+ years developing, training, and deploying computer vision models in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, train, validate, and optimize computer vision models for manufacturing applications.
• Lead image dataset development including data collection, annotation, and augmentation.
• Support deployment of computer vision models through the AMI platform.
• Collaborate with deployment teams to implement end-to-end VPM solutions.
