Verizon Corporate Security is hiring a Principal Automation Engineer focused on AI and Agentic Workflows. The role is highly autonomous, hands-on, and aims to turn written concepts into production software delivering immediate business value.

You will scale AI tooling, integrate data across cloud services, and ship features weekly in a dynamic, regulated environment. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years building production software end-to-end, extensive LLM experience, strong SQL skills, and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or four+ years of work experience.
Six+ years of relevant engineering experience.
5+ years building and shipping production software end-to-end.
Experience shipping Large Language Model (LLM) applications to end users, with hands-on prompt and context engineering.
Strong SQL and data integration experience across cloud environments (GCP) and Looker.

Responsibilities

Build applications from specifications as a hands-on contributor.
Build and operate the AI toolchain with structured requirements, prompts, and telemetry.
Scale Automation Through Agentic Workflows on the Kairos platform for speed and reuse.
Integrate data across systems (SQL Server, BigQuery/EDW, Looker, vendor APIs) while ensuring data lineage.
Develop evaluation harnesses and shadow-mode testing to validate features.
Deliver weekly demos and ship features to staging and stakeholders.
