Job summary

InCycle Software, a Microsoft Solutions Partner for Digital & App Innovation and Data & AI, seeks a Principal AI Architect to own Azure-native AI and agentic systems for enterprise clients across the U.S. You will define architecture, write reference implementations, and guide engineering teams to reliable, secure production platforms.

Lead engagements from strategy through handover, defining AI reference architectures and accelerators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• We do not sponsor visas for this role.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end architecture for Azure-hosted AI platforms, including single-agent, multiagent and human-in-the-loop orchestration patterns.
• Lead solution design on Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI and the Foundry Agent Service, with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and vector indexing as core components.
• Set the standards for prompt and tool orchestration, function calling, MCP integrations, agent memory, evaluation and guardrails, with templates and reference implementations.
• Architect services around models: AKS and Azure Container Apps, Azure Functions, API Management, Event Grid and Service Bus, Cosmos DB and Azure SQL, with Entra ID and Key Vault.
• Build the operating layer for observability, evaluation, cost and latency budgets, and governance for enterprise security.
• Own cost, latency and reliability trade-offs of LLM inference and vector workloads at scale, including model selection, caching and fallbacks.
• Partner with product, data and delivery leads to turn business goals into technical roadmaps.
• Mentor engineers and promote AI practices, including GitHub Copilot and agentic development tools.
• Represent the technical vision with customers and partners, including Microsoft, in architecture reviews and briefings.
