Job summary

Coupa Software, Inc. is seeking an AI Engineering & Integration leader to own AI agent development within the Coupa Agent Studio.

You will prototype agents, tune models, and implement guardrails for reliable production workflows across enterprise systems. Responsibilities include API integration with ERP/CRM, collaboration with IT and security, and bridging customer engagements with Product Management to inform roadmap and pre‑sales PoCs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in technical integration roles including Middleware, API Engineering, or Systems Architecture.
• Strong programming proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript (Node.js).
• Experience building integrations between non‑deterministic AI systems and enterprise platforms.
• Understanding of Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes and agentic workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the build, configuration, and rapid prototyping of AI agents within Coupa Agent Studio.
• Specialize in prompt engineering, model tuning, and AI guardrails for production reliability.
• Leverage Claude, OpenAI, MCP, LangChain to design agentic workflows.
• Design extensibility frameworks including Embedded UI Assistant integrations and MCP capabilities.
• Develop agent-to-agent communication and orchestration across multi-step processes.
