Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Principal Project Engineer – Aerospace Actuation Systems in Tempe, AZ to drive the design, development and verification of electro‑mechanical actuation systems for defense and advanced aircraft platforms.

You will lead cross‑functional teams across the full product lifecycle, manage cost and schedule, and translate requirements into technical plans while interfacing with customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• You must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of engineering experience in product development, systems engineering or aerospace/defense industries.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical projects and cross-functional teams.
• Experience with requirements development, system integration, verification and testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, integration and verification of electro‑mechanical actuation systems for aerospace applications.
• Translate customer and system requirements into technical solutions and engineering deliverables.
• Support system architecture, requirements management, design reviews and technical trade studies.
• Develop and execute validation and verification activities including testing.
• Analyze test data, investigate failures and lead root‑cause corrective actions.
• Coordinate cross‑functional activities with systems, mechanical, electrical, manufacturing and supply chain teams.
• Interface with customers and suppliers to communicate status and resolve issues.
