Honeywell Aerospace is seeking a Lead Project Engineer for Aerospace Actuation Systems in Tempe, AZ. Lead the full lifecycle from requirements through production, driving cost, schedule, and risk management while coordinating across systems, mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams.

The role emphasizes design verification, customer interaction, and technical leadership in flight-critical actuation projects with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical or related engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of engineering experience in product development, systems engineering, aerospace, defense, automotive, or related industries.
• Experience leading technical projects, programs, or engineering work packages.
• Experience managing deliverables, schedules, priorities, and cross-functional teams.
• Experience communicating technical information to customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Experience with requirements development, system integration, verification, validation, testing, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, integration, and verification of electro-mechanical actuation systems for aerospace applications.
• Translate customer and system requirements into technical solutions and deliverables.
• Support system architecture, requirements management, design reviews, and trade studies.
• Develop and execute validation and verification activities, including testing.
• Analyze test data, investigate failures, and lead root-cause and corrective actions.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities with systems, mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams.
