Job summary

Abacus Technology Corporation is seeking an Aeronautical Engineer Principal to support the C3I&N Directorate at Langley AFB. This full‑time role requires deep aeronautical expertise, leadership, and DoD experience to advance weapon systems and airborne networks.

You will lead analyses, advise on operations, security policies, and modernization efforts for 4th/5th generation aircraft programs while coordinating with government and military leadership.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of aeronautical engineering experience including DoD environment knowledge.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior staff and teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an aeronautical technical expert for critical project areas.
• Support system analyses including avionics design and feasibility assessments.
• Analyze avionics and subsystems, including new tech related to system threats and interfaces.
• Provide advanced engineering work for acquisition, development and sustainment of weapon systems.
• Perform complex analyses using rigorous, quantitative methods for projects.
