Job summary
Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in California seeks an Aeronautical Engineer or Principal Aeronautical Engineer - Air Vehicle Configuration Design and Integration to join our Redondo Beach or El Segundo team. You will contribute to developing advanced air vehicle concepts and early configuration studies.
The role requires proficiency with Siemens NX, CATIA V5, or ProE CAD, plus strong communication and technical writing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant STEM discipline with 2+ years of related engineering experience or Master’s Degree with 0+ years.
- Proficiency with Siemens NX, CATIA V5, or ProE CAD.
- Strong MS Office skills and ability to communicate technical material to various stakeholders.
- Current active in-scope US Government Secret security clearance or higher, with ability to obtain SAP.
Responsibilities
- Support the Configuration Design and Integration team through the development and design of multiple advanced air vehicle concepts.
- Develop parametric CAD models (primarily in Siemens NX) in support of conceptual vehicle sizing studies for advanced Air Vehicles.
- Support vehicle design configuration trade study tasks in conjunction with multiple disciplines to solve complex vehicle design challenges across all vehicle design stages.
