Job summary
Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Principal or Sr. Principal Aeronautical Engineer in Redondo Beach or El Segundo, CA.
You will lead air vehicle design concepts, develop parametric CAD models in Siemens NX, and work across aerodynamics, propulsion, and mass properties to solve complex vehicle challenges. Ideal candidates have a strong background in air vehicle concepts, surface design, and vehicle maturation from concept to manufacturing and flight test, with a security clearance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university with 5+ years of related experience; OR Master's with 3+ years; OR PhD with 1+ year.
- Proficiency with industry design tools: Siemens NX, CATIA V5, or ProE CAD.
- Ability to transfer knowledge and train junior teammates.
- Strong MS Office skills and ability to present technical material to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop parametric CAD models for conceptual vehicle sizing.
- Support configuration design and integration across multiple disciplines.
- Collaborate across aerodynamics, propulsion, mass properties and structures to solve design challenges.
