Job summary

American Modern Insurance Group, Inc., a Munich Re company, is seeking a Principal Data Scientist to lead pricing model strategy for personal lines. This senior role requires technical excellence, regulatory engagement, and mentorship of junior analysts across a nationwide team.

You will drive end-to-end model development, monitoring, and enhancements, collaborate with stakeholders, and contribute to enterprise predictive initiatives in a flexible, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• FCAS is required.
• Experience with R and Python.
• Strong background in GLMs and GBMs.
• Familiar with AI/ML concepts and NLP.
• Insurance pricing or predictive analytics experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead pricing model strategy for a subset of products.
• Develop, deploy, monitor, and maintain predictive models.
• Mentor junior data scientists and analysts.
• Communicate results to business partners and regulators as needed.
• Document modeling assumptions and best practices.
