Pay Philosophy

The typical starting salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors including skills, experience, education, certifications, and location. The full salary range reflects the competitive labor market value for similar roles across the national market and provides opportunities for growth within the role. Some roles at Liberty Mutual may include a compensation plan with commission and/or bonuses, varying based on multiple factors.

Level of position offered will be based on skills and experience at manager discretion.

As a Data Solutions Analyst within the Financial Services Portfolio, you will collaborate with the USRM Finance and FP&A teams to provide modern tools that simplify processes and enhance analytical insights. Your responsibilities include working across finance teams to deliver a modernized planning, forecasting, and budgeting platform, and developing a vision for its implementation in the US organization.

This role offers the opportunity to define and execute next-generation FP&A tools and processes, working with US-based development teams to identify needs, propose solutions, and facilitate collaboration. You will gain exposure to new skills, technologies, and challenges, operating at the intersection of business strategy and technical development. The Data Solutions team works closely with senior leadership, IT, finance, marketing, distribution, and product teams to enhance data analysis and planning capabilities, playing a key role in integrating USRM functions effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Build strong relationships with team members to understand processes, gather requirements, and test solutions.
  • Use inquisitive techniques to gather necessary information for process development.
  • Develop and refine business processes to meet business needs.
  • Work with stakeholders to define user story acceptance criteria and support user acceptance testing.
  • Identify issues in tools, processes, and data sources, and suggest improvements.
  • Participate in ongoing process and system improvement efforts.
  • Prepare status updates and lead meetings for ongoing projects.
  • Create and maintain process documentation and lead end-user training.
  • Mentor contractors and foster collaboration for collective success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical discipline or equivalent experience, with 8-10 years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in Office365, PowerBI, SAS, SQL, Anaplan, Snowflake, SAP, Python, AI tools, and data analytics.
  • Expertise in Finance and Accounting.
  • Self-motivated, curious, with a strong desire to succeed.
  • Strong communication skills for engaging business and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence is essential.

Additional preferred qualifications include a degree in Computer Science or related fields, a master's degree, and 5-7 years of experience in data management, data warehousing, and BI tools.
