Insights & Solutions

Liberty Mutual’s Insights & Solutions group uses data, analytics, and technology to develop innovative solutions that advance our US Retail Markets (USRM) business and foster a high-performing culture. This cross-functional team collaborates to deliver insights and develop new ways of working.

The team provides critical analysis through five functional groups:

  • Distribution, Marketing & Experience Insights & Solutions
  • Data Office
  • Claims & Service, Insights & Solutions
  • Knowledge & Development Solutions
  • Data Science

The USRM Data Office ensures data is a competitive advantage by setting strategic data visions, governing data quality and compliance, developing best-in-class data and reporting solutions, and optimizing data value. The team includes data analysts, stewards, strategists, and product owners committed to leveraging data effectively.

The Operational Data & Reporting team within the Data Office seeks a Senior or Principal Data Solutions Analyst to deliver top-tier data and reporting solutions supporting digital reporting for various stakeholders.

This position may be hired as a Senior Analyst or Principal Analyst, with qualifications assessed accordingly.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain scalable data solutions for business needs.
  • Work independently on complex assignments, prototyping and developing data solutions, including coding proof-of-concept solutions.
  • Design solutions using multiple coding languages, performing iterative testing to meet requirements.
  • Serve as a technical leader and mentor within the team.
  • Create data solutions that enable effective self-service and demonstrate their value to users.
  • Influence strategic thinking across teams and the organization.
  • Apply best practices and iterative testing to ensure quality.
  • Prioritize efforts based on customer value and manage high-complexity deliverables.
  • Lead projects and collaborate with stakeholders for successful execution.
  • Develop roadmaps for data solutions and translate ideas into data products.
  • Ensure data quality and compliance, applying principles of metadata, lineage, and security.
  • Create ad-hoc reports using Adobe Analytics.
  • Build ETL pipelines using SQL and SAS.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years coding experience with SQL and Python
  • 5+ years application experience with Power BI and SAS
  • 5+ years in data management, warehousing, ETL, scripting languages (Python, Perl, Shell)
  • Experience with top-tier Business Intelligence tools

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 3-5 years experience in data coding and management
