Job summary

J.P. Morgan Securities LLC is seeking a Prime Broker Margin Vice President to lead the day-to-day Prime Broker Margin Operations team, ensuring compliance and high-level client service for hedge fund clients.

You will monitor margin calls, collateral movements, and client equity levels, partnering with Risk, Operations, Technology, and Compliance to protect the firm and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in financial services, broker/dealer operations or prime brokerage/margin.
• Deep understanding of securities products and end-to-end lifecycle.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making under time pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; clear client/stakeholder messaging.
• Must have Series 99 certification within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Understand securities products and end-to-end trade lifecycle to assess margin impact.
• Monitor risk and enforce Reg T, Portfolio Margin, and FINRA 4210 requirements.
• Maintain and monitor equity levels on margin loans and manage margin calls.
• Review and approve daily collateral movements with proper documentation.
• Own daily exception management and document resolutions within SLAs.
• Implement policies, SOPs, and controls; ensure audit-ready records.
• Escalate risk events and contribute to remediation plans.
• Lead day-to-day team activities and manage priorities.
• Coach team members and foster risk and control culture.
• Provide high-quality support to Client Service Representatives for hedge funds.
