Charles River Laboratories is seeking an entry-level Primate Technician I in Maryland. Training is provided, and you will be responsible for the daily care of research animals, ensuring their health and wellbeing while supporting patients worldwide.

Responsibilities include feeding, cleaning, monitoring health, assisting with movement, and maintaining accurate care records. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work a structured shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Experience in animal care preferred.
• Experience in physically demanding roles is advantageous.
• Experience maintaining records and complying with SOPs is preferred.
• Attention to detail is essential.
• Ability to work as part of a team and be flexible with schedule.

Responsibilities

• Providing food and water to animals.
• Inspect feeding and watering devices for proper function.
• Cleaning and sanitizing cages and enclosures.
• Observe animals for overall health and wellbeing.
• Assist with movement of animals.
• Log animal care data and maintain accurate records.
• Other duties including restocking supplies.
