Job summary

Atlantic Health Strategies seeks a Primary Therapist for the Massachusetts Mental Health Treatment Center in Pembroke, MA. The role delivers individual and group therapy in a structured outpatient PHP/IOP setting, developing client-centered treatment plans and ensuring timely documentation.

Applicants should hold a Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field, be license-eligible in MA, and bring 1–2 years of behavioral health experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field.
• Massachusetts license or license-eligible status required (LMHC, LCSW, LICSW, or equivalent).
• 1–2 years of experience in a behavioral health or mental health treatment setting preferred.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices and experience working with diverse populations.
• Strong clinical documentation skills and familiarity with EMR systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group therapy to clients in a Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and/or Intensive Outpatient (IOP) setting.
• Develop and maintain individualized, client-centered treatment plans in accordance with clinical standards.
• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and ongoing clinical documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, case managers, and support staff to coordinate care.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment approaches as clinically indicated.
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory, licensure, and documentation requirements.
