Job summary

Recovery Unplugged Nashville LLC in Brentwood, TN, seeks a Primary Therapist to join our behavioral health and substance use treatment team. You will provide individual, group, and family therapy, perform psychosocial assessments, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support clients through recovery.

You will develop and update personalized treatment plans, facilitate psychoeducational groups, ensure compliant documentation, and participate in meetings and supervision.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field required.
• Active state licensure or certification required, where applicable.
• LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LCPC, LPCC, or comparable independent clinical licensure preferred.
• Experience providing individual, group, and family therapy in behavioral health, mental health, or substance use treatment settings preferred.
• Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnoses, treatment planning, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and case management skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary treatment team.
• Passion for helping individuals achieve lasting recovery and improved mental wellness.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family therapy services in accordance with clinical best practices and regulatory standards.
• Complete psychosocial assessments and participate in treatment planning.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans based on client needs and progress.
• Facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational groups.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment interventions as appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other treatment team members to ensure continuity of care.
• Coordinate discharge planning and aftercare services to support long-term recovery success.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation within the electronic medical record.
• Participate in treatment team meetings, case consultations, and clinical supervision as required.
• Adhere to ethical standards, confidentiality requirements, and all applicable regulations.
