Job summary

Ambrosia Behavioral Health seeks an Adolescent Primary Therapist in Port Saint Lucie to deliver individual, group, and family therapy within a multidisciplinary team. You will assess needs, develop treatment plans, and coordinate services while maintaining trauma-informed, evidence-based care.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a related field and active Florida licensure or intern status, with 1–2 years of outpatient or hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related healthcare field.
• Active Florida licensure or registered intern status (RMHCI, RCSWI, LMHC, or LCSW).
• 1–2 years of experience in outpatient/day treatment/residential/hospital settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent comprehensive clinical care to adolescents.
• Conduct individual, group, and family therapy per treatment plan based on assessed needs.
• Coordinate all services for patient care and assist in crisis intervention.
• Communicate relevant clinical information to patient, family, group, and Ambrosia staff.
• Complete all documentation according to regulatory requirements.
• On-call responsibility on a rotating schedule with clinicians.

Adolescent Primary Therapist

• Primary Therapist is responsible for providing excellent comprehensive clinical care to adolescents.
• Conducts individual, group, and family therapy in accordance with written treatment plan based upon assessed needs.
• Coordinates all services for patient care and assists in crisis intervention.
• Effectively communicates relevant clinical information to the Patient, family, group, and Ambrosia staff.
• Completes all documentation according to Company and regulatory requirements.
• On call responsibility on a rotating schedule with all Clinicians.

Requirements:

Education: Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related healthcare field required.

Licensure: Active Florida licensure or registered intern status (RMHCI, RCSWI, LMHC, or LCSW) required.

1–2 years of experience in an outpatient, day treatment, residential, or hospital setting preferred.

Strong understanding of family systems.

Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.

Ability to successfully pass a Level 2 background screening.
