Job summary

The Guardian Selection Limited is seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant for a welcoming Darlington primary school. You will support the class teacher, deliver targeted interventions, and work with pupils 1:1 and in small groups to foster a positive, inclusive learning environment. The ideal candidate is patient, caring, and adaptable with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Experience with SEND is desirable. An enhanced DBS on the Update Service is required.

This Primary Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing while helping them reach their full potential.

The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will work closely with the class teacher to provide classroom support, deliver targeted interventions and work with pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups. Key Responsibilities of the Primary Teaching Assistant:

The Ideal Primary Teaching Assistant Will:

Have experience supporting SEND pupils (desirable).
