Job summary

Hirecracker Education are working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Chester to appoint a Year 2 Teacher. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, use creative approaches to bring the KS1 curriculum to life, and build positive relationships with pupils to support their academic and personal growth.

This long-term role starts immediately, with £150–£170 per day DOE, paid weekly, and requires UK QTS and an enhanced DBS.

Qualifications

• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• Strong KS1 curriculum knowledge with engaging activities.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management.
• Ability to adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs.
• Enthusiasm for creating fun, engaging and inspiring lessons.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.

• Create a safe, inclusive classroom where every child feels valued and confident to achieve
• Work closely with teaching assistants and colleagues to provide tailored support where needed
• Keep on top of assessment and feedback, helping pupils to celebrate progress and reach their goal

What we’re looking for:
