Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood, elementary education or reading.
• Meets Maryland state certification requirements in early childhood or elementary education.

• Ability to infuse technology into curriculum.
• Excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a developmentally appropriate balanced literacy program for primary grade students.
• Deliver explicit reading instruction to small groups (≤15) to ensure success.
• Develop, select and modify instructional plans and materials to meet student needs.
• Monitor and evaluate student outcomes.
• Communicate with students, parents, staff and community.
• Maintain appropriate records and follow required procedures.
• Supervise students in school-related settings.
