Job summary

Mercy Clinic Primary Care - Edmond Waterloo in Edmond, OK is seeking highly motivated Medical Assistants, with roles including preparing patients for visits, assisting with in-office testing, and scheduling follow-ups. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; BLS within 90 days of hire.
• CMA/MA certification or EMT/Paramedic accepted; BLS within 90 days.
• 6 months clinical healthcare experience preferred, primary care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for visit with provider by documenting chief complaint, vitals, history and allergies, and reconciliation.
• Assists with in-office testing including drawing blood, mental status exams, EKGs, oxygen studies and point of care testing.
• Administers vaccines and other injections within scope of practice.
• Schedules follow-up appointments per office policy.
• Collaborates with providers to monitor and coordinate the care plan.
